Arcipelago della Maddalena

1 • Caprera (Cala Coticcio)

Starting from Cala dei Sardi in a northerly direction, in a little more than an hour of navigation you reach the splendid island of Caprera. You will anchor in Cala Coticcio, one of the most beautiful and famous bays in the area. You will be amazed by the color of the water ... EMERALD! It will be like being at anchor in a pool, and at sunset you will see the rocks around you and the two small white beaches turn pink. If you wish you can climb the rocks and see the view from up there ... unforgettable!

2 • Isola di Spargi

Starting from Spargi in the direction of Bonifacio, in a few miles you will be in the Bocche. The sailing is surprising, beware of the various shoals (marked) in the area, especially when you pass by Lavezzi. Impressive the white cliffs on which the town lies, and spectacular is the entrance to the port. We recommend a visit to the Rocca (the upper town) and a dinner in one of the restaurants of the marina, there are all prices.

3 • Bonifacio

Starting from Spargi in the direction of Bonifacio, in a few miles you will be in the Bocche. 4 • Roccapina

Leaving Bonifacio, you will head towards the south-west coast of Corsica towards Roccapina. You will immediately be impressed by the beauty of this bay. The verdant hills embrace a beach of fine sand and is one of the clearest seas on the island, with rocky sea beds little rich in life and known for sea urchins. The hill behind is as famous as the beach: it is dominated by the Lion Rock, shaped by the wind with the shapes of the king of animals, guardian of this marvelous cove.

5 • Isola Piana

Do not miss a stop on the Isola Piana, half an hour from Bonifacio towards the archipelago of La Maddalena, a pedestrian walkway in the middle of the sea, at low tide Punta Sperone is reached on foot, right under the golf course, unique colors of the sea do not lose.

6 • La Maddalena

La Maddalena, capital of the homonymous archipelago is a small town, crossed by the carrugi, the Genoese name of its narrow alleys, which go up the hill above Cala Gavetta, the historic port around which the whole town developed. In the city you can find all kinds of shops, restaurants and pizzerias. If you want to spend a night here you should book, especially during July and August. The island is dotted with numerous beaches: Spalmetore, to the northeast, where one can stay at the buoy; Cala Francese, a cove sheltered from the wind, just behind Cala Gavetta. Another small port is Porto Massimo, in the northern part of the island.

7 • Pevero

It is a beautiful bay, just behind the marina of Porto Cervo. It is sheltered from the mistral, a predominant wind in the area, so it can get crowded on windy days. The surrounding landscape is fabulous: two beautiful white sand beaches frame the bay, and in the surrounding hills you can see the villas of the Costa Smeralda with their verdant gardens.
With an hour of navigation you reach Cala dei Sardi and the Gulf of Cugnana.
