Mallorca and Minorca north coast

1 • Cala Moltò


Leaving the Gulf of Porto Colom in the direction of Minorca, you must stop in Cala Moltò. The Cala Moltò Beach is a Special Natural Area according to the decision of the Balearic Parliament. It is a suggestive sandy beach about 100 meters long, dotted with various rocks and pebbles and immersed in a virgin landscape and wild charm, a true haven of peace surrounded by pine trees shaped by the wind. The beach is bordered by rocks and low rocky areas and has a few artisan fishermen's huts on the sides and an old Civil War bunker. The sea is beautiful, with shades from turquoise to emerald, crystalline and transparent, with sloping and rocky bottoms such as the shore, ideal for swimming while paying attention to entering the water.

2 • Cap Formentor

The peninsula of Formentor is a long and narrow strip of land that ends with the homonymous cape which is the northernmost point of the island of Majorca. The peninsula and scattered with various beaches, the beach of Formentor is certainly worth seeing!
The long and narrow tongue of fine white sand of this U-shaped bay that reaches 850 meters in length, is framed by the splendid Mediterranean scrub that almost reaches the shore. The crystalline sea has a color that varies from blue to turquoise and is not very deep. Numerous services are available on the beach, from sunshade hire to jet skis. Furthermore, several restaurants and bars delight tourists with typical Mallorcan dishes.

3 • Ciutadella


Located at the extreme western point of the island of Menorca, Ciutadella rises high above the harbor, built on a canal that leads to the sea.
Ciutadella's architecture is marvelous, cobbled streets with Baroque and Gothic buildings.
The Gothic cathedral is definitely a place to visit!

4 • Fornells


Located at the westernmost point of the island of Menorca, Ciutadella is located on the northwestern coast of the island of Menorca, Fornells is a natural, splendid port, which is surprising for its tranquility and for this reason has been named "Nature Reserve" . It is a typical fishing village where the tranquility of the place is reflected in the inhabitants of the town, who from their typical whitewashed houses live in total respect for the natural environment that surrounds them.
Along the coast of the bay of Fornells there are four "covas" still unexplored, and three small islets, natural habitat of the "S'argantana Balear", an endemic species of lizard that lives only here. Both the "covas" and the islets are reachable only by sea, and the salt mines located in the shallow waters at the end of the bay complete the uniqueness and peculiarity of this idyllic landscape. The port is protected by a fairly narrow entrance (about 5km), which makes it possible to practice various water sports in the bay, from windsurfing, sailing, kayaking and scuba-diving.

5 • Mahon
